I wholeheartedly welcome you to this place of peace.

You may be wondering about who I am. I am a Mormon. I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a teacher. I am a friend. I am a daughter. I am a writer. I am a photographer. And I am the heroine of my story.

I give thanks for the story that my Father in Heaven is writing with my life. It's pure and simple and small and magnificent. My story is one of a little young mother raising three glorious children in a a Sun Haven Cottage. Together with her husband, she patterns her home after the MTC (missionary training center) and every day (and especially on Monday Family Home Evenings) they teach their little ones about the gospel of Jesus Christ. They cook and clean and dance and sing and play. They do a lot of reading and writing stories. They celebrate seasons and holidays and life itself, because to this little mother, every day is a cause for celebration. Most importantly, they are bound together in love through family scripture study and kneeling in family prayer twice a day. This family is not perfect, but they all try to do their very best each day to follow in the footsteps of the Master. And so they are perfectly happy.

Why this space?

Because more than anything, I desire to be a writer of hope and peace. This path chose me. Deep feelings stirred in my heart for months, and over time, I recognized them as whisperings from the Spirit. When I went to the Lord and asked Him to confirm this call to #sharegoodness with the world through my writing, I was led quite remarkably to two verses of scripture in my early morning study:

"And again, how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of those that are still publishing peace!

"And again, how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of those who shall hereafter publish peace, yea, from this time henceforth and forever!"

-Mosiah 15:16-17

Isn't it interesting that when you write on a blog, you actually push a "publish" button to post? When I read these verses, I found my answer.

And so despite opposition and discouragement, I haven't looked back. And this blog was born. Now when I write, I ask myself: What can I offer to others through my words? How can I be of benefit? What can I give them that will bless and magnify their lives?

I hope you feel lifted to greater heights when you visit this space. I hope you feel the comforting arms of peace encircle your heart. And if there is anything you ever need--help in navigating, hope when you're weary, encouragement to live your dreams, ideas, or prayers, I hope you will reach out to me. Because you are not alone. And even though I don't proclaim to have all the answers, I know Someone who does. And I know He has the answers you seek.

May you be blessed with all of the righteous desires of your heart as you live a full and glorious life.
